I love to see you go, but I hate to watch you leave

Normally this kitschy play on words reverses the “love” and “hate”. Here’s the thing: I’m super fucking excited to see Ecuador fade from view out of the plane window, but it is a huge pain in the butt to get ready to actually leave.

And stressful; have we mentioned stressful? The most depressing and worrisome part is that I need to find a new home for Luna (aka my little miss baby lulu bear kitty). There is also the matter of selling (hopefully), donating, and otherwise getting rid of furniture, clothes, and assorted household odds and ends.

So I’m doing what I always do when stressed out: pretending that no issues exist and focusing on something wholly inconsequential. Unsurprisingly, it yields little results.

… Would you like to buy a $1000 stove/oven for the bargain-basement-price of $500? No, it doesn’t do anything fancy; it’s not even full-sized; that’s just how much stuff costs down here. Ya ves por qué estoy estresada?!

Hey Meggan, my friend, Marco, is opening a consignment store next week.
Would you like to leave all your stuff with him to sell for you and not have the hassle?
